Unveiling Mongolia's Battery Mineral Potential

Asian Battery Metals Plc (ABM), an Australian listed exploration company (ASX: AZ9) headquartered in Perth, is on a mission to unlock the vast potential for critical battery minerals in Mongolia. Driven by the ever-growing demand for clean energy solutions, we play a vital role in supplying the essential minerals needed for electric vehicle batteries and other sustainable technologies.

Positioned for Success in a Strategic Location

ABM boasts a unique set of advantages that position us at the forefront of Mongolian battery mineral exploration:

  • Located Next to the World’s Largest EV Battery Market: Our proximity to China, the world’s largest electric vehicle battery market, offers significant logistical and economic benefits.
  • Under – explored jurisdiction for battery minerals: Our mineral project portfolio consists from highly prospective mineral prospects and discoveries in Mongolia, a mature mining jurisdiction with vast untapped potential for battery minerals.
  • Experienced Team and Diverse Board: Our team comprises seasoned geologists and industry professionals with a deep understanding of the Mongolian landscape. Our diverse board provides strategic guidance and strong leadership.
  • Competitive Legal and Fiscal Framework: Mongolia offers a competitive legal policy and fiscal regime specifically designed to support the development of critical battery minerals.
  • Commitment to ESG Principles: We are committed to conducting our exploration activities with the utmost respect for Mongolian communities, the environment, and upholding the highest ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.

Strategic Exploration with a System in Mind

ABM’s exploration strategy goes beyond simply finding minerals. We utilize a mineral system-based exploration approach. This means we consider the large-scale geological systems and processes that create mineral deposits. By understanding the entire “mineral system,” we can target areas with a higher probability of finding economically viable deposits of lithium, graphite, and nickel-copper-PGE (platinum group elements).

Our Key Projects Driving the Clean Energy Future

  • Oval Ni-Cu-PGE Project: Promising new discovery of Cu-Ni system in 2023, the Oval project presents an exciting opportunity for exploration and future development in well accessible area with long exploration window. With multiple exploration targets identified, this project has the potential to become a significant source of critical minerals.
  • Khukh Tag Graphite Project: Strategically located near infrastructure, Khukh Tag boasts a JORC-compliant mineral resource with excellent potential for further exploration. This graphite project holds promise for the clean energy future.
  • Tsagaan Ders Lithium Project: An early-stage exploration project with positive initial results, Tsagaan Ders has identified lithium-bearing pegmatites. Located near major infrastructure, this project shows promise for becoming a future source of lithium for the battery market.

Join us in Building a Sustainable Tomorrow

ABM is at the forefront of Mongolia’s battery mineral exploration. We are a company built on innovation, local expertise, a shared vision for a cleaner future, and a commitment to responsible development. Stay tuned as we explore the exciting potential Mongolia holds in the global clean energy revolution.
