Drilling Recommenced At Oval Cu-Ni-PGE Project

Asian Battery Metals PLC Continues Exploration Success at Oval Cu-Ni-PGE Prospect in Mongolia

Asian Battery Metals PLC (ASX: AZ9) is pleased to announce significant progress at the Oval Cu-Ni-PGE discovery within the Yambat Project in Mongolia. This report provides a promising outlook for investors as we continue to develop resources essential to the energy transition in Asia.

The latest Downhole Electromagnetic (DHEM) survey identified 17 Priority 1 conductive plates with high conductance—up to 29,000 siemens—extending across multiple drill holes. These plates offer insight into the scale and orientation of the deposit, particularly around the massive sulphide intersection at drill hole OVD021. The density and proximity of these high-conductivity plates support the potential for continued high-grade mineralization.

Key Highlights

  • Multiple Conductive Plates: 17 plates identified across various drill holes, with conductance ranging from 60 to 29,000 siemens, lengths up to 103 meters, and thicknesses up to 12 meters.
  • Enhanced Mineralization: High conductivity plates located near OVD021 suggest a continuous mineralized zone with 6.08% Cu, 3.19% Ni, and 1.63 g/t Pt+Pd+Au.
  • New Drilling Focus: The Phase 2 diamond drilling program has commenced, targeting up to 1200 meters across 4-8 holes to further define and extend the mineralization. This phase will focus on understanding the deposit’s size, orientation, and deeper high-grade zones.

This success marks another milestone for ABM, reflecting our commitment to responsible mineral exploration and resource development in Mongolia. With these findings, we remain focused on building a sustainable supply of critical minerals for the region’s clean energy future. We look forward to updating stakeholders as we advance our drilling operations and confirm assay results later this year.
